Letter, 1786 July 21, Boston [Mass.], to Josiah Flagg, [Philadelphia, Penn.].

Letter from Mecom to her "dear grandson" in which she reproves and advises Josiah concerning the loss of his leg and suggests a book to read "for the quieting [of] your mind". She requests that Josiah continue to cultivate writing with his uncle's new method of spelling and notes her shock concerning the death of Genll Greene.
